Building a bathroom is hard work. Especially yesterday and today, when our 1 bathroom is out of commission while pipes from our new bathroom are being connected to it...thank goodness we've already had to run to Home Depot twice today, their restrooms aren't bad...Panera's are good too, McDonalds=Uh uh.
Ricardo should be done shortly, making our total lack-of-bathroom time less than 24 hours. However, this is the hardest part of the job so far. He's crawling under the house doing battle with dust and bugs and trying to get the pipes to fit and go the direction he wants. I'm here, the ever-supportive wife, ready to hand him what he needs, glue pieces of PVC pipe together, refill his water bottle...but I haven't been under the house. He knows I didn't want to (although I keep offering to do it if he really needs my help), and even though this is a job for 2 people, he has been struggling alone. What a guy!
After this phase comes the electrical, then the inspection, and then we can begin closing it up and making it look like a bathroom. Ricardo doesn't want to do any plumbing work for at least a year after this! So, just in case you didn't know what an incredible guy my husband is, here are some pictures of my hero.
The hole he has to climb down into to go under the house. It's in one of our closets (not big!)
His feet!
He's smiling for the camera, but the mask covers it up. :)
