That means she's nearly one.
And, of course, my baby cannot be one yet because she is my baby.
We took these pictures way too late, she was beyond tired and sad and ready for bed. We managed to get a somewhat happy shot, but most of the pictures are sad faces, crying faces, or face on the floor (her sad pose).
She is a love!
At 10 months old she is pulling herself up ALL THE TIME, including on things that make me cringe (the rocking chair, the rocking ottoman, in the bathtub, on the rolling stroller....etc etc etc).
She has not taken too many tumbles at all though, so I'm wondering if she'll be quicker at getting to the walking point than her big sister was.
She likes to play, anything that Xaris is playing.
She loves to eat, anything that we are eating.
She has learned how to play peek-a-boo by herself, with a blanket or lovey.
Has started clasping her hands and waving them while clasped (this is her version of clapping)
She has also started to show frustration when she is not allowed or permitted something, or when she is impatient to eat or get down to go after something. Her squawks are not always pleasant, but I really dislike the throwing the head backward and arching of the back...how do babies learn that when they do that, they are nearly impossible to handle??
We think she has said something close to "bye bye", and maybe also "gracias". But really the consistent word is "mama" Happy Day.
She loves the water (swimming, bath, wading pool in our backyard, door of the dishwasher--any water she can find), but she does not like to be changed (clothes/diaper, etc) after playing in the water.
She sleeps in her crib in the "girls room" with Xaris. But she needs to be re-sleep-trained after every vacation, trip, visitors, or any other interruption to her schedule. She is, fortunately, turning out to be a better sleeper than X.
We are excited for the next few months!
