oooops...i ruint it.

Catching up with pictures...

X doesn't always love tummy time.  But she does love this toy--it's the one she "talks" to.
Thanks Miss Grace!

First round of vaccinations on Tuesday...

Squeaky clean and beautiful!

Entertaining herself in the mirror...

Lots of fun!

Saturday begins...
All dressed up for her breakfast date with John Marshall and Jack Henry

And here they are!  Jack Henry, Xaris Sofia, and John Marshall together for the first time.
Jack is the oldest, 6 or 7 weeks older than Xaris I think.  Then Marshall is 4 weeks older than X.

Marshall, however, is the biggest by far, topping the scales at 20 lbs.  Jack comes in at 14, and our girl is a whopping 10 lbs. 1 oz.

Later in the day, Xaris meets two of her cousins and one tia for the first time!
Dara, Celina, and Haziel with their new baby cousin...

And we all go to the rangers game! Dara and Haziel's first baseball experience.

They are really cute.

Ricardo isn't in these pictures--he was taking them all! The whole group, minus him:
Celina, Haziel, Dara, Sarah, Richard, Calia and Xaris.  We're going to miss Sarah and Richard a LOT--they move to CA next week!

First baseball game for Xaris!

She's cheering--Go Rangers! While mom, Sarah and Richard pose for a picture...

Enthralled with the game?
Chilling with tio Richard.

Sleepy baby--it was a long saturday!

And for those of you paying attention to the title of this blog--the story goes like this.
Ricardo asked me what I wanted for my 30th birthday, and I said I wanted him to surprise me (ie: me not buying or showing him my gift, him just finding something).  He did a pretty good job of throwing me off-track and not hinting about what he was thinking of.  Since he's been back to work, he's missed a lot of Xaris' faces, smiles, sounds, etc. and we had been talking at one point about buying a video camera, so I've bring mentioning it again the past couple days.  He would come home from work, I would tell him all the cute things she did, and then say we should get a video camera, so we could try to capture some of those things!
Then...Friday I get an unanticipated check from a consulting job I did in the mail.  Hmmmm...I begin to plan.   Ricardo gets home, and I once again tell him all the CUTE things he missed, and say that we should get a video camera, and mention this check--can we use it for that?
So we start looking for video cameras online, and he gives me a few model numbers to check out (hmmm--that should have been a sign).  After looking through and talking about them, he confesses that his plan was to get me one for my birthday.  He had already researched, (enlisted my dad's help too, in the research), and had a plan for purchasing one.  And I ruint the surprise!  Silly me.
We ended up ordering the one he planned to purchase, so I still get my birthday gift, I just spoiled his fun in surprising me.  Oooops.  We'll have it a little earlier than my birthday, so hopefully we'll start getting some video up on the blog too.
This week is VBS--early mornings, I bet we'll be tired by the end of it!  Celina and her kids are here for the week, for VBS and any other fun we can handle on top of it.
