Where does the time go? I'm sure I'll still be saying that in 20 years...
We went to Houston last Friday-Saturday, to spend some time with my parents. Ricardo starts teaching again this week (great paternity leave, huh? He just decided not to teach the June semester, so he's been off since May 8th). Since it was his last weekend of his "time off" we took advantage of it.
Xaris turned 2 months on Thursday, she's outgrown all her newborn clothes and nearly all her 0-3 month size too. On to bigger and better! Today I went out and bought some more sleepers for her because she's outgrown almost all of hers. She's wearing a 3-6 month one right now, and I'm positive it won't last her until she's 6 months old.
Her caterpillar (called caterspeller, because each bump has a letter of the alphabet on it---it's looong) is still bigger than she is! Looks like it's attacking her...
I didn't get a great 2 month cupcake shot. She was just too wiggly...she had both her hands up in a stretch various times, looking like she was reaching for both cupcakes, and I just kept missing it. You can imagine how cute it was...
Thursday night en route to Houston. We stopped to see our friends Luis and Rebecca and their darling family. Here are Chiara and Claudia holding their new little cousin Xaris!
Chiara's turn to hold the baby, while Claudia plays with her feet.
We got to Houston--paella on Friday! yummy!
Xaris played a lot with Gramama
And did a lot of hanging out...
With her Taita too--they are buddies. You know, she really looks a lot bigger when Gramama is holding her than when Taita is...
She loves her grandparents!
We do too, thanks for a fun weekend!
